About the Paintings
| Most of my pictures arise from a news item, a glimpse from a train or car - any ordinary day to day occurrence. Sometimes the memory of such an occasion will surface long afterwards, when a certain image will push itself into my consciousness, rather like a "sight bite", and it is this image which will start the process. The picture will then go through many re-thinks and alterations before it feels right and expresses the original feeling I had about the remembered event. |  |
